About the event

Learn to Write Grants for your LLC Business and Nonprofit Organization

We are just 20 days away from our final grant writing workshop! Do you already own a small business or want to start one and/or a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization and need to learn how to write grants to get funded? A grant is money that does not have to be repaid back. Did you know that LLCs (For-profit entities) can be eligible to apply for certain grant funding particularly from government agencies and private foundations that offer grants specifically designed for small businesses? If awarded a grant the money doesn’t have to be repaid back.

Our nonprofit organization DFOWW Incorporated will be hosting a grant writing workshop on Saturday July 26 2025 from 10:30am – 3:30pm at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center. This workshop will equip participants with proven techniques for crafting grant proposals that resonate with funders. The workshop covers the fundamentals of grant writing including proposal structure persuasive writing techniques and budgeting.

DFOWW Incorporated’s Write-Right Entrepreneurship Program offers this grant writing workshop to help participants learn how to write successful grant proposals. You'll not only gain the skills and knowledge needed to write compelling grant proposals but also build connections and network with other participants.

What are the benefits of a grant writing workshop:

The workshop provides information about different funding sources grant deadlines and other resources that can help you find the right grants for your project. We believe that hands-on exercises is an excellent way to learn the craft of grant writing so during the workshop as a class we will be writing a grant together.

The following topics will be discussed during the workshop:

Can I apply for grants if I have a small for-profit business

How do I become grant ready

Understand the fundamentals of grant writing

Identify potential sources of grant funding

Understand common requests on grant applications and how to answer them correctly

How do I draft a business plan

How do I write annual and program budgets

In addition participants will also receive a 40-minute break in which our staff will serve free catered lunch from Carrabba’s Italian restaurant. Vegetarian meal options will be available. Due to limited space we encourage you to reserve your seat today. Group discounts are available. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our main office at (678)977-9703.
