Join us on Wednesday, October 1, as Gwinnett County honors the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter with the first official Jimmy Carter Day.
A champion of peace, unity, and service, President Carter’s impact continues to inspire us to care for our neighbors and build stronger communities.
This celebration, hosted in partnership with the Gateway85 Community Improvement District, Gwinnett County Public Schools, Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity, and Gwinnett County Public Library, will bring together students, residents, and community partners to reflect on his values of kindness, compassion, and generosity.
✨ Highlights include:
• Ceremony at Best Friend Park beginning at 10:00am
• Art installation unveiling
• Special presentation to the Carter family
• Habitat for Humanity build project kickoff
• Recognition of Jimmy Carter Legacy Art and Essay Contest winners
• Lighting of GJAC in blue and white for peace and unity
Come celebrate President Carter’s lasting legacy with us and see the creativity of our students as they share their vision of his impact.
