Newton Juneteenth Celebration 2025
Bring your kids, friends and parents and join us for a day filled with fun, food, and community spirit ! This in-person FREE outdoor event will feature food, live music, DJ Firestarta, drumming performances, shopping local Black-owned businesses, and activities for all ages. This event marks Newton's 4th annual celebration to commemorate 160 years of emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Don't miss out on this special day of unity and joy!
Our partners include the Newton Coalition of Black Residents (NCBR) and Families Organizing for Racial Justice @Newton North High School (FORJ NNHS). We are grateful for generous support from FORJ, the Harmony Foundation, and Village Bank. This Linda Plaut Festival of the Arts program is also supported by Newton Community Pride in partnership with The City of Newton.
The event is easily accessible by public transit, and there is also parking nearby.
