In this 'small group' day, local ceramics sculptor Tina Hill-Art will give step by step guidance of sculpting / hand building techniques, to create your own unique figure/sculpture.
The session is suitable for those with and without experience of working with clay.
All materials and tools will be provided and the Kiln-firing & finish materials are included in the fee, all you need is to wear old clothes (Aprons provided, feel free to bring your own)
At the end of the workshop your sculpture will be :
-Taken back to my studio to be dried ( +/- 4/5 days)
-Fired in a kiln 'bisque' firing (24 hours)
-Oxide wash wash/glaze finish applied by me (samples will be available)
-Fired again for the 24 hour 'finish' firing.
Overall the 'after the day' process takes approx 3 weeks.
Your creation will be available for collection later at my studio on set days to be arranged with you . (If you need your item to be posted, this will be at extra cost, and must be discussed before building the sculpture to ensure it's not too fragile for posting)
