A fun guided session creating a hand-built coil pot/bowl with me, Tina Hill-Art (Shaldon Pottery Studio)
About this event
This popular workshop is suitable for both those experienced in working with clay and those with none. There is a discount for two spaces, so why not bring a friend!
In this 2.5 hour session, I will give step by step guidance of clay coiling techniques for you to create a bowl/pot.
All materials and tools will be provided and the kiln-firing & glaze/finish materials are included in the fee. All you need is to wear old clothes & an apron (aprons available).
At the end of the session your pot will be :
-taken back to my studio to be dried ( +/- 4/5 days)
-fired in a kiln 'bisque' firing (24 hours)
-your chosen finish applied (you will have option samples to choose from)
-fired again for a 24 hour 'glaze' firing.
Overall the process takes approx 2-3 weeks.
Your creation will be available for collection at my studio in Shaldon at a time to be arranged with you . If you need your item to be posted, this will be at extra cost of £5 (and at your own risk regarding breakages).
