Once We Were Forests: A Great Big Green Poetry Night

Join us at First Draft Books for an evening of poetry with four dynamic poets: Veronica Aaronson, Steve Day, Roger Philip Dennis & Jennie Osborne. Each will perform works that explore nature, the environment and the climate crisis. Come be inspired, provoked and moved by their poems.

In addition to the readings, there will be moments during the evening to chat with each other and the poets, as well as to purchase copies of their books.

If you leave the evening feeling inspired to write your own eco-poetry, join Jennie Osborne for a poetry workshop taking place on Thursday, 12 June, from 10:30am-12pm. Check the registration link above for details.

This event is part of the Bovey Tracey Great Big Green Week (7-15 June), the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. During the week, communities across the country will together be a wave of support for action to protect the planet.
