Exciting cycling event The Ride of Champions.
It’s a 100-mile ride that covers the full stretch of the area we serve as an air ambulance. We’re really proud of it, not just because of the stunning route, but because it’s all in support of Operation Airbase, our campaign to relocate our airbase to Southampton Airport, so we can respond even faster when every second counts.
The route:
Hampshire Countryside: Begin at Sparsholt College, cycling through picturesque Hampshire roads towards Southampton.
Ferry to the Isle of Wight: Board a ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
Isle of Wight Cycling: Experience the island’s coastal charm and tackle the renowned Military Road with its breathtaking vistas.
Ferry from Yarmouth: After completing the island route, take a ferry to Lymington.
New Forest: Cycle through the enchanting New Forest, encountering wild ponies and cattle along the way.
Finish: Conclude your journey back at Sparsholt College, having supported a life-saving cause.
