For immediate family, there will be a graveside service at the Brownington Center Cemetary on Ticehurst Road prior to this event. Following will be the celebration of life open to anyone who would like to come.
This celebration of life will be held at the Gateway Center in Newport, Vermont, a place that John had many memories at. This is a gathering for friends, family, and all whose lives John impacted, filled with music, memories, and stories. There will be live music throughout the day, and we welcome you to come and go as you please — whether for a short time or to stay the full duration.
We invite everyone to contribute to the celebration by bringing a dish or appetizer for a potluck-style gathering. If you are traveling or are not able to bring something, that is perfectly fine - we just would love to have you there!
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the John Royer Music Education Fund, a nonprofit created in his memory to support music education for future generations. Details to come.
We hope you will join us to honor his memory, share your stories, and keep the music alive. Let's come together to celebrate John’s legacy in a way he would have loved.
