Heritage and Twisties Experience 2025

Day 1
We meet in Wakkerstroom at 16:00. Ensure your bike is filled-up for the next day. We book in, have supper, get to know each other and discuss the next day’s route.

Day 2
Breakfast at 07:00. We leave at 08:00 for Utrecht, then onwards to the Talana Museum in Dundee, where we fill up and proceed to Blood River/eNcome for lunch. Here we book in, relax, braai and experience ‘Bloedrivier’ at night and in the early morning. We discuss the next day’s route.

Day 3
Breakfast at 07:00. Leave at 08:00 for Dingane’s kraal, Piet Retief’s gravesite, lunch at fuel stations, ride through Nkandla Forest and stop at Shu Shu Hot Springs. We ride awesome passes and arrive at New Hanover’s historical The Travellers Rest at about 17:00. We eat supper and discuss the next day’s route.

Day 4
Breakfast at 07:00. We leave for Pietermaritzburg at 08:00 and visit the Church of the Covenant (Geloftekerk). Onwards to the Midlands for a leisurely ride, and at Nottingham Road (Lunch), we turn towards the Drakensberg mountains. We ride to our last stay around Winterton and arrive at approximately 16:00. Fill up, get supper, stay at Bingelela and discuss our route home.

Day 5
We have breakfast and head home. See you at the next Experience!
