Conga - 5 Week Course Starting Wednesday 16 July 2025
You must have your own conga.
Dates/Times: Wednesday 16 July 2025 to Wednesday 13 August 2025 2025 - 530pm to 630pm
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Description:
In this 5 week course, you will learn conga technique and practice several different strokes such as base, open slap, closed slap, open tones etc
You will learn and practice combinations of strokes.
Patterns and style will suit most Brazilian music styles, Reggae and Funk but can be applied to other genres.
The entire course is based on 1 conga play, seating on a stool
Cost:
Early Bird Special. Book and Pay before Tuesday 08 July: $100 for the 5 week course
Book and Pay between 09 July and 15 July 2025: $125.00 for the 5 week course
Non-Refundable. No refund or swap for mixed classes. Must attend 5 consecutive weeks.
Transfer to 3rd party OK if pre-arranged with organiser at least 24 hours prior.
Location: The Locker Room, The Station Newcastle, Scott & Watt St, Newcastle.
What to bring:
Bring your own Conga. Congas not provided
Bring stool to sit on
Bring Large towel or small mat (to protect floors)
