Workshop Cost: $10
Members, we are going to explore book design using cloth. We will be doing samples in paper first, so you can decide which one you like to make with your cloth.
Kit cost: $10
I used the following items to make the samples, you may not need all of them.
Please bring along: Don't purchase, only bring what you have.
Pencil, ruler, paper knife or scissors, awl.
Hand sewing thread, needles, thimble, scissors.
Heavy fabric scissors, strong needle.
Pins, scrap paper, fray stopper.
Stiff felt or board or wood or interfacing.
Ribbon, screwed or old knitting needles.
Fabric stiffener or starch.
Soft interfacing or visafix.
Embellishments, paint, surface design items
Fabric: plain or patterned.
You can also choose to seal edges with a sewing machine or overlocker at home.
