Rancho Sierra Vista Seed Farm
Potrero Rd and Erinlea Ave, Newbury Park, United States
Volunteer with us for a fun and safe morning of native plant seed collection at our native seed farm!
Our long-term goal for this native plant farm is to steer our restoration program towards seeding out areas instead of outplanting. This will increase our coverage for conservation and restore areas that might have been difficult with outplanting, particularly areas prone to disturbances such as wildfire and climate change. This activity is appropriate for ages 5 and up. This event will run from 9 am to 12 pm.
After collecting, pick up your own free native plant that we have for volunteers!
Come prepared:
Please bring water, sunscreen, and a sun hat. Wearing hiking attire, closed-toe shoes, pants, and long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Gloves, bags, and water refill stations will be provided.
