We pop the cork on our 10th season on Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd in the magical acoustics of the Barrel Room at Appassionata Estate (home of J. Christopher Wines) in Newberg, OR. These performances showcase the joyful fireworks of Mozart’s G major duo, then celebrate the full-bodied richness of the viola with Mendelssohn’s exuberant B-flat major string quintet, and two exotic Sinfonias by Baroque composer Leonora Duarte. We are also honored to share a brand-new work for string quintet by 2025 Composer-in-Residence Akshaya Tucker, who will join us in person for this world premiere performance.
Admission includes a complementary three wine tasting specially paired to the musical program.
Following the concert, food and additional wine will be available for purchase to enjoy on the beautiful terrace of Appassionata Estate.
