The Great Kayak Relay
Paddle. Pass. Repeat.
Join us for a fun-filled day on the water with our lake community! The Great Kayak Relay is a friendly, team-based race where paddlers work together to pass the “paddle” around the course. Whether you’re in it to win it or just want to enjoy the ride, this event is all about laughter, lake spirit, and a little splash of competition.
Event Details:
• When: August 30 at 10am
• Where: Pettit Lake Beach
• Teams: 4 paddlers per team (all ages welcome!)
• Format: Each team member paddles a leg of the course, tagging the next paddler until the finish line.
• Prizes & Fun: the Traveling Paddle Aware for the Winning Team - NEW this year the FLOATING FIESTA Award (team with the MOST Spirit)
What to Bring:
• Your kayak
• Life jackets for each participant
• Lots of enthusiasm and maybe a fun team theme or costume
