For ALL PARTICIPANTS: Please familiarize yourself with the items you cannot bring into our Museum as part of your costume for the Pride Ball.

Plants/Flowers

No plants with soil are allowed in the Museum. If you see a visitor with a plant, please let VEx know or ask the guest to check their plant at coat check. The only exception is soil that is used in our own craft activities and that is because we buy the soil sealed from Home Depot and it is sterilized. Farmers market style produce is not allowed inside, as it usually contains roots/soil sediment which houses bugs.

Cut flowers are allowed in the court, they need to be certified treated for pesticides. Usually, the flower provider can let you know if the flowers were treated.

Balloons/Glitter

No glitter is allowed in the Museum or Galleries for crafts, fashion shows, or performances. Balloons that are not filled with helium are allowed inside the Court and Welcome Center. No balloons are allowed in the galleries. All balloons need to be latex powder-free. Balloon arches are allowed, as long as they don't touch the Odita Mural in the Welcome Center or the Molly Hatch plates in the court.

Food/Drink

Food and drink are allowed in the Welcome Center and Engelhard Court. No food or drinks are allowed in the galleries, including candy or gum.

Food and drink are not allowed in the back gallery where the Willie Cole Sole Sitter is located. Food can be stationed in Traphagen as long as there is no artwork hung on the Traphagen walls.

In the Court, nothing is allowed to rest on the Molly Hatch ledges, including food/drink, jackets, handbags, or coats.

Come celebrate, compete, and make history at the 6th Anniversary of NMOA PRIDE BALL!
