The Salmagundi Club is one of America's oldest art institutions. Located in a stunning Pre-Civil War mansion on fifth Avenue, it has welcomed artists and art lovers for over 150 years. On July 25th 2025 they are celebrating the summer season with the Seersucker Ball! That’s right, they’re throwing a huge lindy hop dance party. Put on your dancing shoes (and something seersucker) and join us for live traditional jazz music from the Small Dog Jazz Society!
An intro to Lindy Hop dance lesson will be taught by Seth Harris with assistance from members of his award winning dance troupe The Findyhoppers. Don’t have a dance partner? No need! You’ll find many at the Ball. Don’t have any seersucker clothing? Well, you can still come but it would be more fun if you found some!

The Salmagundi Club is an artists charity located at 47 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan in a beautiful mansion built in 1854. Be sure to stop by the parlor for pictures and check out the art work. Ticketholders are welcome to purchase libations downstairs in the Wiggins bar. Please bring a credit card as cash is not accepted.
