Straight Up & Toasted at The Carnegie Club

Summer is on its way and New York City is alive with longer days, late nights, and the perfect mood for cigars, scotch, great music, and even better conversation.

So join NYC and tri-state cigar lovers on Tuesday, June 10 at 8pm at The Carnegie Club for our next Straight Up & Toasted pairing event—an evening of exceptional cigars, world-class single malts, and live jazz in one of NYC’s last true cigar lounges.

Aging Room has long been a staple of the boutique cigar scene, and this time we’re featuring two of their most exciting new releases: the just-launched La Bohème, a rich, classically inspired Dominican blend with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, and the Quattro Nicaragua Sonata, the highly anticipated follow-up to the award-winning 2019 Quattro Nicaragua. Handcrafted at AJ Fernandez’s factory using 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos, the Sonata dials back strength in favor of refinement—think oak, nutmeg, and coffee sweetness with a long, smooth finish.

On the whisky side, enjoy a pairing of Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or, finished in Sauternes dessert wine casks, and Glenmorangie Signet, the distillery’s luxurious flagship single malt built on “chocolate malt” barley and long, rare cask maturation.

Live vintage swing from Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society sets the tone—and special guest Charlie “Doc” Watson from Aging Room will be on hand to talk through the blends and share stories behind the tobaccos.

For 24 hours, a limited number of tickets are $50 online, $60 online after that, and $75 at the door.

Aging Room La Bohème
Brand new and beautifully crafted, La Bohème revives a classic Aging Room blend with bold personality. Featuring a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, this medium-full smoke delivers espresso, cocoa, vanilla, and almond with a touch of floral sweetness. Romantic, complex, and unmistakably Aging Room.

Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Sonata
The long-awaited sequel to 2019’s Cigar of the Year, the Sonata is a Nicaraguan puro made at AJ Fernandez’s factory using tobaccos grown exclusively on his farms. Less body, more nuance—expect smooth waves of oak, roasted nuts, nutmeg, and a signature coffee sweetness. Balanced, expressive, and worthy of the name Sonata.
