About the event

Signs in the City: Dhikr in Central Park

Hey NYC are you ready for a walk to remember?

As we welcome the Islamic calendar month of Dhul Hijjah among the holiest of the year we invite you to join us for a very special dhikr walk through New York’s Central Park on Saturday June 14 2025.

“Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (13:28)

In the sacred practice of dhikr, or the remembrance of Allah we return to our soul’s deepest truth: that Allah is our Lord the only One worthy of worship. Dhikr reminds us of who we are and why we are here. As we turn inward in reflection Allah calls us to look outward:

"We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves..." (41:53)

In response to this call Faithfully Sustainable welcomes you on a walk of collective remembrance through nature blending breath movement and sacred litanies to glorify Allah and honor our role as stewards of His creation. Through breathwork we’ll build awareness of our inner state deepen our connection to Allah and His creation and align our bodies voices and hearts with our inner light—a source of divine wisdom that guides our path.

Whether you’re a dhikr regular or a newb our guest facilitator Malika Ali will guide you through the practice of dhikr in community. Plus connect with friends new & old as we round the morning out with a post-event social nearby.
