If you're new to the outdoors or just want to find local climbing partners, this event is for you. We will discuss and demonstrate 3 ways to secure yourself to an anchor to help prepare you for outdoor climbing and then spend the evening bouldering in Central Park.
Volunteers from NY3C will happily help out new climbers at the event.
What are Mini-Clinics?: The outdoors should be for everyone, but not everyone has access to the knowledge and education around it. NY3C is hosting mini-clinics to help bridge the gap to make the outdoors more accessible.
What to bring?: Water & snacks, climbing shoes, chalk are minimums. If you have a rag hand towel or bouldering pad, please bring them!
Cost: Outdoor Mini-Clinics are FREE to attend.
Arrival: Please arrive by 6:00 pm.
Info: Please check in with NY3C volunteers when you arrive. Once checked in, you're welcome to climb, and we'll gather when the clinic starts.
Info: The mini clinic is designed to be between 15-30 minutes long, but there is always room for questions if you have them!
Info: Stick around to practice a range of routes from v0 to v5 on Rat Rock! Maybe you'll meet you new best bouldering bestie!
