Manga Meetup at Stavros Library 8/9

Join fellow NYC manga lovers at the Stavros Public Library Saturday August 9th at noon to swap underrated manga! Attendees are encouraged to bring the first volume of their favorite manga and write a brief description about it. Attendees will then go around the room and choose one manga of another attendee. There will be a scheduled time to read that manga. Attendees will have time to swap manga at least three times, then we’ll all go to the rooftop and discuss

No worries if you don’t have the first volume of your favorite manga purchased. The library has a large selection of manga and as long as we stay in the library we can read them without having to check the book out (although checking out books is highly encouraged! I just know not everyone might have a library card yet.) I will also bring a variety of volume ones so there will be plenty of choices. Feel free to bring more than one manga as well!

Stavros library has a cafe, bathrooms, water fountains, and is ADA accessible. This is a free event! You are not required to buy anything. This is also not hosted by any organization. I just love manga and would love to make more friends who love manga and anime! Because of this, I ask to not share this link, to keep the guest list small.
