Visitors will have the opportunity to take a tour of Frank White Memorial Garden where they will be able to experience how we integrate youth programming in our garden, giving young people the power to take agency around the projects they create. Feeding into our community composting efforts, participants in the community will also be able to see how we couple composting in our growing spaces and process organic material from start to finish.

For nearly 2 decades, The Brotherhood Sister Sol has partnered with the West Harlem community to actively engage visitors in urban farming. Since 2003, Frank White Memorial Garden located adjacent to the BroSis headquarters, has been responsible for remodeling the 6,000 sq./ft. community space into a beautiful community garden and Environmental Learning Center that includes a functional urban farm (producing more than 30 varieties of fruits and vegetables), a greenhouse, a group challenge course, an aquaponics system, as well as recreational seating and performance/event areas. All of these features have been co-designed and constructed by BroSis members from the Environmental Program and local community residents.
