About the Event: Join us for a full day of free creativity, connection, and community at this special edition of Poetry Floodlight.
We’re offering a full lineup of free workshops, a community potluck, and our beloved Floodlight Poetry Night—with the support of a Neighbourhood Small Grant

->Ongoing Community Potluck
Bring some food to share, make art, and engage in conversations.
- 12:00–3 PM – Cyanotype Printing & Mixed Media Exploration Workshop Explore the magic of the sun with this historical photographic process! Learn to create striking blue-and-white prints using natural materials and light. Then we dive into oil pastels, watercolour and soft pastel exploratory drawing. No experience necessary just bring your creativity!
- 4:00–6:00 PM – Zine Making A local artist will guide a zine-making session while we break bread together.
� 6:00 (soft start)–10:00 PM – Floodlight Poetry Night End the day with powerful poetry! All voices are welcome. There’s an open mic at the end, and if you’d like to be part of the main set list, email Ben at
