HW AVA/IVV 5KM OR 11KM Walk in New Smyrna Beach

Start Point: Truist Bank Parking Lot 709 East 3rd Ave. New Smyrna Beach
Join the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 5KM (3.1 miles) or 11KM (6.8 miles) group walks in quaint New Smyrna Beach, FL.

5KM walk is to the beach and back. The 11KM walk includes the downtown shopping areas on both the mainland side and the peninsula, you will walk across the high highway bridge as well as the lower causeway bridge and the beach.

Please carry your own water & wear walking shoes. Pace: 1 mile every 20 minutes. Walk slower or faster by picking up a set of Map/Directions while registering.
Register 30 minutes prior to start.
The cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Stamp your books! This is an AVA/IVV YRE event.

The walk is rated 1C and includes a section on the beach. The remainder of the walk is on sidewalks and is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers. Pets are allowed but must be leashed and picked up after, not allowed on beach.
Driving Directions: Publix Indian River Village Shopping Center
709 E. 3RD AVE., NEW SMYRNA BEACH
I-95 Exit 249, drive east on SR44 for 5.8 miles. Park at the Truist Bank (closed Sundays.) The group will gather in the parking lot area under the shade trees.
