The Abyssinians @The Broadside
The NOLA Reggae Fest (October 24th - 26th) and Broadside NOLA Present: The Abyssinians, one of the foundational Jamaican roots reggae groups known in every corner of the world for their unique harmonies and spiritual, Rastafarian-themed music. Formed in 1969 in Kingston, Jamaica, they have been touring the globe ever since. On Sunday, July 27th The Abyssinians will be performing in New Orleans for the first time in over 30 years! They have a slew of hits including Declaration of Rights, Abendigo, Forward Unto Zion, Good Lord, African Race, Know Jah Today and of course their international smash hit, Satta Massagana, a global reggae Rastafarian anthem.
