Artist Reception for “The Water is Calling: Paintings by Ashton Shaw Despot”

Please, join us on Saturday August 9th from 5 - 8pm for an artist reception for Ashton Shaw Despot and her collection/exhibition “The Water is Calling”. Despot is a New Orleans based artist who specializes in Contemporary Impressionist landscape paintings. Her new body of work is a “visual ode to the Louisiana summer—where heat and humidity settle into the air, and the water offers a quiet, essential refuge. Inspired by early mornings on the water, these paintings reflect the moments when the surface is still as glass, mirroring trees, sky, and light in gentle symmetry.”

The event is free and open to the public.
