The Botanist Gin
The Botanist is a gin of layered complexity. A progressive exploration of the botanical heritage of our Isle of Islay. Nine classic gin botanicals are augmented by 22 local herbs and flowers, foraged responsibly and by hand from the hills, shores and bogs of this fertile Hebridean island by our own professional forager. The result is a rollercoaster botanical odyssey in a glass.

The foundation for our Classic Laddie is not a recipe set in stone, but a distilling philosophy. We have no interest in consistency or uniformity, instead – year by year – the variety and provenance of our barley shapes our spirit, and an ever-increasing range of casks are sourced to evolve the suite of flavors in our warehouse.

This Port Charlotte 10 year old has been conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on Islay alone. We are a young team with deep-rooted values, and an ambition to make the ultimate “Islay” Islay Whiskey. A Whiskey made by people not software; a Whiskey watched over every day of its maturing life by those who made it; a Whiskey born of a community with a vision and a mission to kick start a single malt Whiskey revolution, this Port Charlotte 10 year old is who we are.
