Baarish- Art. Music. Monsoon.

Following the success of its debut edition on 21st June 2025 Baarish returns this July with Chapter 2: Downpour Diaries an immersive cultural experience presented by Excurators that brings together music cuisine storytelling and design to celebrate the spirit of the monsoon.

Scheduled for July 26 2025 at the historic Travancore Palace New Delhi from 6 pm onwards this thoughtfully curated evening offers a blend of tradition and innovation.

Programming Highlights:
Rang: The Musical | Rehmat-e-Nusrat x Eric Chopra- A retelling of 13th–14th century Delhi through the intertwined lives of Amir Khusrau and Nizamuddin Auliya. This piece blends qawwali history and live storytelling with Itihãsology’s Eric Chopra narrating the cultural and spiritual legacy that shaped Khusrau’s syncretic voice while Rehmat-e-Nusrat brings his verses to life with contemporary and classical inflexions.
Feast on My Leaf: A Culinary Conversation with Chef Arun Kumar TR- One of India’s foremost names in coastal cuisine Chef Arun presents a live exploration of Kerala’s monsoon table. Through a curated tasting and narrative from his book Feast on My Leaf audiences will experience the textures and rituals of pre-Onam flavours harvest practices and the deeply rooted traditions of Kerala’s food heritage.
Monsoon by Café Lota- A seasonally curated dining experience by Café Lota that pays homage to Kerala’s culinary rhythm in the rain. Each dish is crafted with regional ingredients presenting a blend of warmth nostalgia and innovation inspired by the season’s bounty.
The Finale: A Reunion Performance by Barmer Boys x Baarish Ensemble - A tribute to the late Mangey Khan legendary vocalist in Rajasthani folk and lead vocalist of the Barmer Boys. The Barmer Boys return to Delhi for the first time since his passing joined by the Baarish Ensemble featuring musicians Anirban Ghosh Yusra Naqvi Diyatom Deb Nikhil Vasudevan Pranay Verma Subhankar Chatterjee and Vaibhav Batra. Together they create a soundscape where folk Hindustani modular synth and poetic cadence converge.
