Ready to learn a knew finger knitting technique? Join us on August 21st to create a block blanket using the Intarsia method of changing colors. This method also creates a pretty pattern on the reverse side (see images above).
While all skill levels are welcome, it would be helpful if you have created a finger knit blanket in the past as tension will be very important...BUT...I am a firm believer that if you put your mind to it, you will be just fine and am happy to have you in the class whether you have experience or not.
In this class, you will learn how to:
- “cast on” your first row of blocks
- connect the blocks as you work across rows
- change colors/skeins
- “cast off” your final row of blocks
ALL materials will be supplied and are yours to keep after the class. This blanket will use 8 skeins of yarn and you may choose between 2 or 4 colors as shown in the example. Color options are also shown in the images above. Those of you who have taken classes with me in the past will notice new options! The colors used in the example are: Dark Terra Cotta, Brown, Taupe, and Marigold as I went for a fall theme!
You will most likely not complete your blanket in class but by the time you leave, you will be cruising right along. You are also able to contact me following the class in the event you get stuck or further instruction.
The cost of each ticket is $95. All ticket sales are final. If you are unable to attend for any reason, you may gift your ticket or use it for a future workshop. If you have any questions, please ask BEFORE purchasing your ticket.
