4th Friday Art on the Town - Featuring Susan Macintire

Hello! I want to begin by say Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers out there. This is indeed a special month! We are pleased to welcome Susan Macintire as our featured artist this month.
She is a painter and pastelist residing in Lewes, Delaware. To Susan, everything has its own personality; flowers, animals, sea life, especially crustaceans, even waves and water itself. Her goal as an artist is to invite each subject to live on her canvas with in her special world of colorful whimsy. Susan dabbles in pastel but mainly uses oil. She paints from still life, plein air, memory and photos.
“ I love painting big flowers, especially Hibiscus and Bird of Paradise. I try to bring movement into each painting and when I see it move, come to life, I know I’m on the right track!”
It’s a great month for beautiful paintings of flowers and whimsy! Please join us for light refreshments this 4th Friday, I’m sure it will be a wonderful time!
Susan won’t be with us this time as she was invited to paint with a master and understandably jumped at the chance! Enjoy Susan!
