170th Bloody Monday Commemoration

On Aug 10th the AOH in conjunction with the German American Club will be hosting a commemoration of the 170th anniversary of Bloody Monday at 1pm at the Historic Marker on 10th street. We will have a historian speaker, piper and a wreath, and attendees from both groups. This is open to the public that would like to join us to solemnly observe. It will only be about 15-20 minutes long due to heat. We hope it will bring renewed attention, as the events of that day significantly impacted the Irish and German Catholic populations of Louisville.
