You're invited to the 22nd annual Summer Chorus concert!
Sing Evermore: Songs through Dark & Light.
Featuring the Summer Chorus with string quartet, flute, percussion, and piano.

The concert features Sing Evermore! by Connecticut composer Gwyneth Walker. This nine movement work sets texts spanning the centuries, all celebrating music and the joys of singing! With piano and flute, the work has many motifs reminiscent of bird calls, and invites both singer and listener to experience the transcendent joy that comes from singing, to bask in the gift that is music, and to "sing, evermore!"

Also featured on the concert are The Sun Never Says by Dan Forrest, a soaring setting of Hafiz-inspired poetry by Daniel Ladinsky, which speaks of the matchless beauty of unconditional love, Voice on the Wind by Sarah Quartel, setting the composer's own inspiring text about the empowerment of singing, and Dark & Luminous Night by Ola Gjeilo, inspired by the grace and passion of a medieval poem.
