About the event

Diesel Gala
Enjoy the sights and sounds of a weekend of heritage diesel traction during the Diesel Gala at The Watercress Line.

The gala will see the railway operated by visiting and home-fleet diesel locomotives.

There will be an intensive train service operating over the steeply graded route, providing the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of both heritage and modern diesel traction.

This year’s Diesel Gala is a Laira Reunion, gathering some of the team from the Plymouth Laira back together! They were responsible for saving many of the locomotives on the line this weekend.
