Exploring Tick Borne Illness and Prevalence in Tuscarawas County

Interested in learning more about Lyme Disease in our region and how to avoid it. Come to our community open house at NPHS on April 30th. We'll share data on Blacklegged Ticks and the pathogen that causes LD from our Appalachian Ohio Tick Project, discuss other ticks and pathogens that are expanding their ranges across Ohio, offer strategies for avoiding tick bites while enjoying the outdoors, and demonstrate the techniques we use to study ticks and pathogens at NPHS. We'll have learning activities for all ages, so bring the kids!
