Nelson Historical Society is excited to have a stand at this year’s Collecting History event on 18 October at Founders, alongside our friends from the Nelson Philatelic Society, NZSG Nelson Branch, and other collectors, dealers, and history enthusiasts.
At our stand, we’ll feature a few mystery items and we're inviting you to bring along your own interesting objects and share the stories behind them.
We’ll photograph selected items and share their stories on Facebook as part of our new Show & Tell series.
We even have one genuine mystery item on the stand — the owner has no idea what it is! Maybe you can help us solve the puzzle?
As part of this event, we’re also hosting some free information sessions:
• Caring for Artefacts in Your Own Home – with Shae Trewin (11.30am & 1pm)
• From Memories to Masterpieces: Tips and Tricks on Life Story Writing – with Sarah Ryder (2pm)
Come along, bring an item, and share your story.
The event runs from 10am - 4pm and entry is free for locals.
