Art and Ecology Course

Art & Ecology is a 5-week course offered by the Nelson Museum hosted by NMAG Education Coordinator Kalika Bowlby. This course will explore our relationship with a changing climate through reading, discussion, and art-making to understand our current experience and imagine possible futures. What we create begins with what we can imagine. A selection of readings from the collection of essays and art, An Ecotopian Lexicon, will guide each week’s discussion and art-making.

The group meets weekly on Thursdays from 6-8pm beginning on Sept 25th - Oct 23rd, 2025. Pre-registration is required and includes weekly readings and assignments. The registration fee is $40+GST for NMAG members and $50+GST for non-members, and includes a copy of the book An Ecotopian Lexicon for you to keep.
