Genealogy Series: Research for Lineage Society Membership

Join Dr. Sara French for a look at the many lineage societies in the US, including the DAR ( https://www.dar.org/), SAR ( https://www.sar.org/), Descendants of American Farmers ( https://www.nsdoaf.com/), and The General Society of Mayflower Descendants ( https://themayflowersociety.org/). Application procedures and membership requirements for these various societies will also be discussed.

This program is part of a three-part series geared toward beginners starting their investigation into family history. Each session will cover a different aspect of genealogy. Patrons interested in building a substantive foundation for building a family tree are encouraged to attend all three sessions.
