We’ll be open every Saturday in July from 10 AM to 5 PM, and each weekend will feature a special theme that makes the experience at Cobble Creek Mining Co. one to remember.
Here’s what we’ve got planned:
🦖 July 5 – Jurassic Weekend
Celebrate the release of Jurassic World: Rebirth with fossil-themed mining buckets packed with real mosasaur teeth, dinosaur bone, ammonites, and other prehistoric finds.
🦈 July 12 – Megalodon Mining Bucket Weekend
Back by popular demand! This bucket was a huge hit last summer. We weren’t sure we could restock it this year, but we made it happen. Come dig for Megalodon teeth, Otodus, and other fossil sharks.
💎 July 19 – Geode Cutting and Candy Apple Geode Weekend
We’ll be cutting open Moroccan and Mexican geodes all day with our lapidary saw. A fresh batch of Candy Apple Geodes from Chihuahua, Mexico with calcite and quartz is ready to go.
🌊 July 26 – Ethiopian Water Opal Showcase
Search through over 10 pounds of new Ethiopian water opals. These are some of the most vivid and colorful opals we’ve had yet. Come see the fire in person.
