2025 Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Boot Camp

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Boot Camp is a multi-specialty critical care conference for practicing critical care nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Now in its fourteenth year, this lecture-based, interactive course is designed to educate new providers with relevant evidence based clinical information; and challenge experienced providers with new research, updated best practice guidelines and thought-provoking discussions. The diverse conference faculty includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who are leaders in their disciplines from across the country. This year’s topics include (but are not limited to):

• ICU Ed and Todd-Cast

• Top Papers in Critical Care Medicine

• Still in Shock: New Insights and Strategies for Managing Refractory Shock

• Ventilator Liberation and Extubation Practices

• Mastering Airway Challenges in the ICU

• Incorporating POCUS into Daily ICU Practice

• ICU Fever Challenges (Part 1 and Part 2)

• A Case Based Approach to Altered Mental Status in the ICU

Learners will have the opportunity to participate in pro-con panel discussions, and moderator-led round table discussions regarding various topics such as APP post-graduate education, onboarding critical care APPs, and professional growth for both the novice and experienced APP.

A light breakfast and lunch will be offered on September 3rd and 4th and are included in the conference registration price. A complimentary networking event and wine reception will take place on September 3rd from 15:30-17:00
