☀️ Sunrise & Coffee: A Morning Photography Workshop with Mike Dooley ☕Where tranquility meets shutter clicks.

There’s something sacred about the early morning. The world is hushed, the light is soft, and for a brief moment, everything feels possible. Sunrise & Coffee is a relaxed, uplifting photography workshop where we chase that golden light—and maybe chase off a little grogginess with a hot cup of joe.

Led by local photographer Mike Dooley (that’s me), this workshop is perfect for early risers, light lovers, and anyone who wants to start their day with intention, inspiration, and some killer shots. Whether you’re shooting with a DSLR, mirrorless, or just your trusty iPhone, this workshop is about slowing down, tuning in, and capturing beauty as it unfolds.

We'll meet at a scenic location before the sun peeks over the horizon, soak in the stillness, and dive into the art of photographing those magical, fleeting moments. I’ll share tips on composition, exposure, and reading light—all in language that makes sense before your second cup of coffee.

Info: On Friday, August 15th, will have a 60 minute meeting on Teams to go over the workshop: where to meet, what to bring, etc. A meeting invite will be sent upon registration.

Info: We’ll greet the day with cameras in hand, working together to bring your vision to life. This workshop is all about connection—between you, the landscape, and your creative voice. We’ll dive deep into the art of composition, exploring how to turn what you feel into what you see. It's not just about taking photos—it’s about making them, with intention, emotion, and a fresh cup of inspiration.

Info: We'll wrap up the workshop in the cozy back classroom at Bagelz Bakery (90 Pershing Ave, South Kingstown, RI 02879). While you grab some breakfast and your beverage of choice, I’ll get the laptop and projector ready. Once we're all settled in, we’ll take a relaxed, thoughtful look at the morning’s images. This isn’t a critique—it’s a casual, creative conversation and a chance to share ideas, insights, and a few laughs.
