CREATURES OF HABIT :
Creatures of Habit is a rock band based in Nanaimo, BC, blending the heavy, gritty sound of early ’90s rock with a modern edge. Influenced by bands like Black Sabbath and Alice in Chains, they bring a raw, riff-driven energy that nods to the past while pushing forward.
The band formed six months ago, but their chemistry runs deeper, they first connected in high school band class. Gabe Enns (bass), Cole Tomkins (drums), and Cameron Boudrot (guitar) all grew up playing music together, later joined by vocalist Jacob Mattes, whose roots on Gabriola Island bring a unique voice to the group.
Despite being new to the scene, Creatures of Habit is quickly carving out their place with a sound that’s heavy, honest, and built to be played loud
