The Lighthouse Rotaract Club of Nanaimo is a passionate and dedicated group of like-minded individuals working together to make a meaningful impact in our community and beyond. We focus on supporting youth through initiatives that promote food security, mentorship, and leadership development, ensuring that young people have the resources they need to thrive.
Our Mission
To empower and uplift youth by addressing critical challenges, providing essential resources, and fostering opportunities for growth, both locally and internationally.
Our Initiatives
• Youth Support Programs – We engage in projects that provide mentorship, educational opportunities, and community support to help young people reach their full potential.
• Food Security – We work to combat food insecurity by supporting local programs that provide nutritious meals to those in need.
• Leadership & Community Engagement – We create opportunities for young leaders to develop skills, build confidence, and make a lasting impact through service projects and community partnerships.
Ongoing Fundraiser
Our key initiative is a permanent bottle drive, held every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Big Brothers Big Sisters location at 2030 Northfield Road. This ongoing effort generates sustainable funding for our projects and encourages community involvement in an accessible and impactful way.
