Free your voice and sing in harmony by ear, in a joyful, inclusive song circle. On Mondays April Laurie leads a vocal play warmup, and accompanies us on percussion, at the acoustically brilliant Kin Hut on beautiful Departure Bay. All voices are welcome, whether you consider yourself a singer or not. We have a diverse range of voices from beginners to professionals - every voice belongs, and it’s all about the magic and connection of singing together, rather than performance or perfection.
Learn harmony-rich songs from the community singing movement, inspiring, uplifting, healing songs, world music and a few folk, pop, and sea shanties! Some songs are taught by ear in 3 or 4 parts, and on some songs we’ll let the harmonies happen organically.
Admission for the April 28 "Open Sing" is by donation.
Subsequent drop-in price is $20 (or sign up for the 6 week series for $80); no one turned away for lack of funds.

I offer two weekly groups in Nanaimo (Mondays 2pm at St. Andrews United Church, Monday evenings 7pm at Kin Hut) and one in Parksville (Thursdays at 3:30 at The MAC). Drop-ins are welcome, with option to join for the six week series.
