Meet Our Artists
Our musical program features extraordinary performers.

Snehesh Nag - a master sitarist and dynamic educator based in America whose work bridges Hindustani classical music with cross-genre innovation. Rooted in the rich traditions of Indian music, he brings a soulful, boundary-defying approach to his performances. His collaborations span Indian classical greats like Pandit Anindo Chatterjee to global artists including Grammy-winner Cathy Fink, hip-hop artist Christylez Bacon, and The Princeton Symphony. A 2023 Strathmore Artist-in-Residence, Snehesh also holds a master’s in music technology from Georgia Tech.

Shen Flindell - a Brisbane-based tabla artist dedicated to the Benares Gharana tradition. A disciple of the late Pt. Ashutosh “Ashu Babu” Bhattacharya, Shen has performed widely across India, Japan, and Australia with renowned artists including Pt Kushal Das, Pt Ritwik Sanyal, and Smt Prerana Deshpande. He is also active in cross-cultural projects like Tibet2Timbuk2 and Spirit of Bhakti. Founder of the Ashu Babu Memorial Tabla School and co-founder of the Queensland Sangeet Mela Association, Shen is a committed educator, performer, and advocate for Indian classical music in Australia.

Louise King - Artistic Director Long Listen, Acclaimed cellist, festival founder, and boundary-pushing musical force. A graduate of London’s Royal College of Music and Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music, Louise brings international flair and a fierce passion for creative collaboration. Her performances span classical, jazz, folk, baroque, and experimental sound worlds, described by The Australian as exuding “a vigorous artistry that appeals to a younger generation of music lovers.”

Maree Fargo (Maz) – Singer-songwriter, visual artist, and storyteller, Maree brings raw beauty and emotional depth to the stage. With her voice, guitar, and double bass, she weaves folk, Americana, and bluegrass influences into poetic narratives. Her music offers a touch of fermented folklore, steeped in nostalgia and soul.

Together, these artists promise an unforgettable evening of music - spontaneous, heartfelt, and deeply inspired.
