International Climate Change is increasingly intertwined with geopolitical turmoil acting as a threat multiplier that destabilizes regions by intensifying resource scarcity triggering climate-induced migration and exacerbating existing tensions. This complex "doom loop" makes international climate cooperation harder to achieve as geopolitical divisions often mirror and hinder progress on global climate agreements. The energy transition itself also introduces new geopolitical risks as countries and corporations navigate shifts in energy supply and resource dependencies.
