Jon began his business career in college at Univ. of Central Missouri and paid his way through college and grad school at MTSU selling books door to door six summers. He made 1500+ sales demos and 300+ sales each summer and recruited, trained and managed a 40-student team.
After college Jon spent the next 10 years with Southwestern Company first as:
* District Sales Manager. He built an organization of 120 students from Midwest colleges.
* Director of Recruiting for affiliate Great American, a start-up school fundraising company. Recruited 400 professional sales reps nationwide over four years.
* Founder/Director of the Southwestern Placement Division. It became a separate company called Thinking Ahead with multi-million dollar in annual revenue.
Jon then joined healthcare startup MediFAX EDI for 10 years as EVP of Sales/Marketing. MediFAX pioneered online real-time (EDI) healthcare data transactions. He built a team of 70 professionals including National Accounts, Integrated Sales, Direct Field Sales, Telemarketing and Customer Support. MediFAX made the INC.500 and grew to over $20M in recurring revenue before being acquired by WebMD (Emdeon). Now is Change Healthcare.
