Take a trip down the memory lane with an epic ode to the timeless Bengali composers – S.D. Burman, Hemant Kumar, Salil Chowdhury and R.D. Burman – complete with a special segment on Kishore Kumar, whose luminous body of work spans many realms of creativity.
Conceived and directed by composer Rahul Ranade, ‘Bengal Tigers’ takes the audience on an immersive journey helmed by contemporary musical beacons like Javed Ali, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Hrishikesh Ranade, and Sharayu Date.
With a revealing script by Pravin Joshi and Ranade and a live orchestra led by Kamlesh Bhadkamkar, the interactive audio-visual showcase traces the journey of the masters through their finest musical gems in Hindi and Bengali, frequently delving into the history behind the songs. Stitched together by a nostalgic narrative, this pastiche of retro songs and stories summon a bygone era, mapping the advent and evolution of the musicians’ illustrious careers.
