Chai and Why Not?

We can all think of silly questions. How many cups of chai are being sipped in Mumbai right now? Or how many umbrellas are open in the city at this moment? What’s the point of asking such questions anyway? In this session we celebrate the joy of asking, seemingly "stupid" questions. We'll explore how rough guesses and order-of-magnitude thinking can lead us to reasonable answers without doing any complex calculations. Because science is not about getting the exact answer – it's about learning to ask the right questions, making some good guesses, and developing a feel for the world around us.
