Divergent, experimental and whimsical. Nine voices converge in blue for this pop-up
exhibition, which first began at a cyanotype printmaking workshop by artist Andrea
Fernandes.
Culled from multimedia prints, this group show brings together an interesting mix of
artists whose works are just as diverse in their themes. While everybody of work on
display is unique, they are bound together by one common thread - that of
experimenting and celebrating art that emerges from accidents and mistakes that
might look abstract but never devoid of magic.
The exhibition is accompanied by a curated segment of photobooks from the
Editions JOJO Library that expands the core idea of the workshop being
experimental. Visitors are most welcome to browse through the carefully selected
books by the curators.
There will also be an Ekphrastic Writing Workshop on 19th July, facilitated by
Yashasvi Vachhani, who is a poet, curator and educator. Through guided prompts,
close examination, and imaginative exercises, participants will write poems, prose
fragments, or short reflective pieces in response to selected photographs and
artworks on display at the gallery.
