Kids Art Classes - Pop Culture Character Painting Class (9-14yrs)

Calling all young artists and pop culture fans! In this exciting 8-week course, students will bring their favourite characters to life through drawing and painting.

Whether it’s from One Piece, SpongeBob SquarePants, Rick and Morty, Dragon Ball Z, Phineas and Ferb, Pokémon, or any other show or comic, students will have the chance to choose their own favourite (age appropriate) character at the start of the term.

All selected characters will be compiled into a comprehensive class lineup, and throughout the term, we will develop lessons based on these choices. This means every student will get the opportunity to learn how to draw and paint all the characters in the lineup, exploring different styles and techniques along the way!

Throughout the course, students will develop their skills in:
🎨 Drawing fundamentals – proportions, expressions, and dynamic poses
🎨 Watercolour techniques – washes, layering, and fine details
🎨 Acrylic painting – bold colours, shading, and texture
🎨 Posca marker techniques – adding outlines, highlights, and mixed media effects

Students will create their artworks on canvas, watercolour paper, and wood board, with the option to work on a single type of surface to build a series of artworks perfect for display at home.

This course is a fantastic way for young artists to improve their skills, explore different materials, and have fun drawing and painting what they love!

Cost $23.50 per session paid full term in advance
