6 Fingers is a three-piece rock band from the Gold Coast. They play a wide range of original music, from spellbinding ballads to hard-hitting rock songs. The band consists of Mykel Nikiforides, Levon Dutton and Tony Planitz. Consistently recording and releasing music since 2022, the band has achieved airtime on local radio and been featured in Gold Coast Music Network’s ‘Talent On Tap’. Their debut EP ‘Closure By Silence’ was released in December 2024 andis being backed up with a string of local live shows.Mykel is a music legend, having been active in the Gold Coast music scene for many years. He is an extremely accomplished multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. His bass playing offers everything from melodic lead breaks to heavy hitting riffs.Levon has a long history as a drummer on the local scene. Discuss music with him and he’ll happily refer you to a wide assortment of genres; from EDM, to country, to classic rock and more. His playing is equally at home with the serene, the manic and anywhere in between.
Tony is the main songwriter of 6 Fingers. His influences range from Beethoven to Zeppelin without bias to any genre. With his distinct baritone voice, each of the band’s songs tells a different story, from heartbreak to euphoria.
